Host, photographer and Chairman of American Photographic Artists NY Travis Keyes sits down in this latest deep dive conversation with combat photographer & Nikon Ambassador Stacy L. Pearsall.
Stacy is the producer & host of the PBS series, After Action, founder of the Veterans Portrait Project and is the host of the EVERYTHING Stacy podcast. She has documented stories in over 41 countries while serving as an aerial combat photojournalist in the Air Force and earned Military Photographer of the Year twice. Though combat disabled, and retired from military service, Pearsall has not let her disabilities hold her back. With her service animal, America’s VetDogs Charlie, by her side, she continues to work worldwide as an independent photographer, and she is an author, educator, military consultant and public speaker. Her work has been exhibited at the Woodruff Arts Center, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and is presently exhibited at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, the Women in Military Service for America at Arlington National Cemetery among numerous other sites nationwide. She has been recognized by President Barack Obama as a White House Champion of Change and is a Jefferson Award recipient.
